SUBJECT: SCHOOL OF INSTRUCTION

DATE: JUNE 1, 2000

There will be a School of Instruction to be held Thursday afternoon, July 13, 2000 through Sunday morning, July, 16, 2000 at the Holiday Inn Select in Lynchburg.

All upcoming Council Members are required to attend and everyone is invited. Each person will be required to make their own room reservation and furnish their own transportation. The Department of Virginia will furnish the meals from breakfast on Thursday through Sunday morning for VFW members only.

You must call Holiday Inn Select and make your own reservation, phone number is 804-528-2500 and let them know you are with the VFW group. Room rate is $60.00 plus tax for hotel and $60.00 plus tax for motel.

Subjects to be discussed are Duties and Responsibilities of Post and District Commanders, Duties of Post Quartermasters, Parliamentary Law and Procedure, National and Department By-Laws, Rules and Regulations of Club Rooms, Program Reporting and Membership Programs.

We must know how many will be attending, so therefore, the following form must be completed and returned to State Headquarters no later than June 15^th.

No food will be prepared for the ones that do not let the Department know they will be attending. Please do not embarrass the Department and show up without letting us know or without making a hotel/motel reservation.
